Mobileye is the leading supplier of software that enables Advances Driver Assist Systems (ADAS). Beyond ADAS, Mobileye’s technology has evolved to support the three pillars of autonomous driving – sensing, mapping and driving policy.
As part of Mobileye’s strategy for system implementation in over 25 vehicle manufacturers, the system was adapted for larger wider types of vehicles, such as buses, trucks and trains.
The width of the vehicles demanded extra side cameras, in order to achieve the reliability of Mobileye’s software in ADAS as in private vehicles.

Mobileye trusted Meytar R&D’s team of engineers to rapidly design, draw and manufacture the enclosure for the camera and electronics that support the camera.
The enclosure had already been defined as part of the industrial design for the product, and was presented with severe ingress protection requirement (IP68), heat dissipation considerations and a tight assembly with a fixed industrial design.

The product is assembled throughout the world on commercial vehicles, such as public transport buses, delivery trucks and underground trains, with millions of units planned to be manufactured and assembled in the future.
